This kind of ad can be dangerous. Anytime you try and portray your existing customers in your marketing, you run the risk of talking down to them or, worse, alienating potential customers by coming across as elitist.
I think MINI did a decent job with the new spot below, but it's not perfect. The dude climbing over the chairs is more than a bit obnoxious, but I'll forgive them just for the look on the face of the stair runner at the end.
